Fastag KYC Update : Drivers assurance increased with extended deadline! Know the last date to update ‘Fastag’ KYC

Fastag KYC Deadline Updated

NHAI has assured drivers regarding ‘Fastag KYC.’ Those who haven’t yet done ‘E-KYC’ for ‘Fastag’ have been given an extended deadline until February 29. Vehicles without E-KYC will have their ‘Fastag’ deactivated. Consequently, they will incur double toll charges.

Fifty percent response

Approximately 50% of drivers in Pune city and district have updated the ‘E-KYC’ for ‘Fastag.’ While doing E-KYC, linking ‘Fastag’ with Aadhar card and PAN card is also mandatory. Since February 15, 2021, ‘Fastag’ has become mandatory for four-wheeled vehicles across the country.

To reduce traffic congestion at toll booths and save time, four-wheeled vehicles are now required to have ‘Fastag.’ However, this has not posed significant issues. Therefore, opting for E-KYC has become a preferable choice now.

To check KYC Update

To check if the KYC update is done, log in to fastag.ihmcl.com. After logging in with registered mobile and password or OTP, click on ‘My Profile’ on the dashboard to fill in the required information. It will indicate whether the update is completed or not. (How to update Fastag KYC)

Required documents:

• Vehicle Registration Certificate
• Passport-sized photo
• Vehicle permit, PAN card, Aadhar card, any one proof among Voter ID card.

The process involves:

• Clicking on the Fastag website linked with the bank
• Logging in using the registered mobile number
• Entering the OTP received on the mobile
• Clicking on the KYC tab in My Profile
• After filling in address and other required details, the KYC process will be completed.
