The Tata Nexon has achieved the second-highest Global NCAP score for adult and child occupant safety in our #SaferCarsForIndia testing thus far. Tata also leads for their Safari/Harrier rating. The Nexon’s voluntary test is among the concluding results in the campaign as Bharat NCAP is initiated.

The Nexon was the first model to secure a five-star #SaferCarsForIndia rating in 2018. In 2023, the new Nexon received updates with additional safety features, including six airbags and Electronic Stability Control (ESC) as standard. The revised rating applies to models manufactured from August 8th, 2023.

Global NCAP’s crash test protocols evaluate frontal and side impact protection for all models, alongside Electronic Stability Control (ESC). Pedestrian protection and side pole impact protection evaluations are necessary for vehicles achieving the highest star ratings. Further details on the protocol requirements are available on the Global NCAP website: https://www.globalncap.org/resources

The Tata Nexon exhibited a sturdy structure and robust restraint systems, offering commendable protection. The model provided nearly complete protection for child occupants during dynamic tests and is equipped with i-size anchorages and a passenger airbag deactivation switch, enhancing its versatility for transporting child occupants.

The Nexon adheres to UN127 and GTR9 standards for pedestrian protection as standard. Additionally, the model meets Global NCAP’s ESC requirements and includes seatbelt reminders in all seating positions.
