Do you know Worlds Biggest Snake, A new Species found by scientists Green Anaconda
Green Anaconda is worlds longest and worlds Biggest Snake species found at amazons Rainforest
The big green anaconda in the Amazon was always seen as a strong and mysterious animal. But their latest research changed what scientists thought about it. They found out it’s actually two different types. This surprising discovery means they need to do more to protect this important jungle predator. Green anacondas are the biggest snakes in the world and also very long.
Professor Dr. Freek Vonk, a scientist, has captured a video of a green anaconda that stretches a remarkable 26 feet in length, thought to be the world’s largest snake.
What is the Name of Worlds Biggest Snake Species?
Vonk shared a video of the anaconda on Instagram, saying, “We gave the new species the Latin name Eunectes akayima, the ‘northern green anaconda.’ The word “akayima” comes from various indigenous languages in northern South America and means ‘big snake.’”
How much big Green Anaconda snake in size?
Vonk shared a video of the anaconda on Instagram, saying, “You can see the BIGGEST anaconda I’ve ever witnessed in the video – as wide as a car tire, eight meters long, and around 200 kg heavy – with a head as big as mine. It’s truly a ‘monster’ that fills me with awe and admiration!”
Where Worlds Biggest Snake Green Anaconda Found and how it is Genetically Different?
Vonk shared a video of the anaconda on Instagram, saying, “The green anacondas in the northern part of their range in South America (like Venezuela, Suriname, and French Guiana) turn out to be a completely DIFFERENT kind! Even though they look almost identical, the genetic difference between the two is 5.5%, which is HUGE. To put this in perspective, humans and chimpanzees differ genetically by only about 2%.”
He added,
I’ve discovered a new species before, but it was a small snake in Australia. Now, it’s a mythical and legendary creature, one that I’ve encountered four times! Definitely one of the highlights in my scientific career, especially because this snake is found in the Amazon, a place that feels like home to me.
However, this discovery comes with a double feeling. As exciting as finding this snake is, the Amazon is facing significant challenges due to climate change and ongoing deforestation of primary rainforests. About a fifth of the Amazon has already disappeared, which is more than 30 times the size of the Netherlands. The survival of these iconic giant snakes is closely linked to protecting their natural habitat. This research emphasizes how crucial it is to preserve our world’s largest tropical rainforest.
